Scottish Thistle Siding

Scottish thistle siding is a vinyl siding color available from MASTIC siding company. Here is all the information you'll need about scottish thistle vinyl siding color.

Mastic siding  is a premium brand of siding that's owned by Ply-Gem, Inc.  Ply-Gem vinyl siding is one of the largest companies that own and manufacture vinyl siding in the united states.

The scottish thistle color for siding comes available in the following lines of mastic vinyl siding.

  • Ovation
  • Carvedwood
  • Quest Signature
You can be sure that you're getting a quality product with Mastic Siding (by the way I am NOT affiliated with Mastic siding or any other vinyl siding company whatsoever). I just have enough experience selling and installing it that I can personally guarantee that it is a high quality vinyl siding product.

the above picture is an example of really terrible vinyl siding that has been placed too close to a bbq grill and has waved due to the heat. Vinyl siding cannot take that kind of heat, and whether you purchase good quality siding or low quality, it won't matter.

Scottish thistle is a really nice color to choose for your vynal siding because it hides dirt well but also isn't too dark. It's also a very commonly liked color so you can be sure that most people will not be turned off by the color of the vinyl siding.

What is the best brand of vinyl siding?

I'm going to explain the best brands of vinyl siding out there today so that you can be sure you're getting the highest quality and not getting fooled into purchasing some junk product.

First off, vinyl siding is often made by a very large manufacturer and marketed under various small names. For instance, the brand Mastic and Variform are actually made by the company ply-gem. Mastic vinyl siding was actually owned by Alcoa for a long time prior to that. These vinyl siding manufacturers are constantly buying and selling each others lines, and also discontinuing the ones that didn't perform well.

This poses a problem because the the companies will operate differently when they change, and warranties are often voided unfortunately. Also, they will often drop the suppliers that you get them from. Be careful when you select vinyl siding, and make sure to do enough research on the internet to find out more.

Certainteed, Wolverine, American Legend, Ashland, Georgia Pacific, Mastic, Alside, Alcoa, Crane, Cedar Ridge, Charter Oak, are all excellent brands of siding that you will often find at a distributor near you. Any reputable contractor will be able to obtain one of these brands at your request.

Finding a reputable contractor is also made easier through the internet if you're interested.

Vinyl Siding Colors

Vinyl Siding comes in a very large assortment of colors available, in fact one particular company (Mastic) will custom make colors for you that can match whatever you can dream! They in fact call it "Dreamcolor." Every different brand of siding on the market today has their own color schemes and their own names that they give their vinyl siding colors.

Color quality is also important. Just because you may see a color that you like on a particular brand of vinyl siding, it doesn't mean that you should just base your buying decision on that color alone; there are some very poor quality siding panels that come in all sorts of colors that are susceptible to fading, discoloration, mildew, staining, cracking, warping, and chalking.

Selecting a premium quality siding brand is beyond the scope of this article, so you may want to check other articles that we have listed that pertain to quality and reviews of certain vinyl siding brands/models. Look around this site and if you see something that interests you, check it out, there's all the information you need here.

Vinyl siding colors have really advanced over the last decade or so especially. Years ago, there were only about 10 colors that were offered nationwide, now there are hundreds. Technology has made it possible to impregnate vinyl resin with various different pigments that are brighter and longer lasting than what they were a long time ago. Vinyl Siding has really come a long way, and for the better.

I will be attempting to review each color through different manufacturers and different brands of siding as I can, it may take a while but I'm sure that will truly help homeowners and contractors alike selecting the appropriate siding panels.
